About Wardens Trust
Wardens Trust was set up by Richard & Elspeth Gimson in 1991. Their vision was to offer recreational and outdoor facilities to disabled children and adults in this unique area.
Our Main Hall is situated on the cliffs between Thorpeness and Sizewell in a secluded site with access to the beach and a camping area. Over the past two decades we have built up the site to their current standard, and where we hope to deliver an experience that benefits elderly people, people with disabilities and their carers.

Chairman Dr Alexander Gimson as well as assisting with the running of The Wardens Trust Dr Gimson is a Consultant Hepatologist in the Liver Transplant Unit at Cambridge University Hospitals and the Director of the Division of Medicine and Integrated Care.
Richard and Elspeth Gimson are both founding members of the charity and have worked with it for over the last 20 years. They live on the site at Ness House.
Wendy Orme is an artist who lives in Yorkshire and is a co-founder of The Great North Art Show in Ripon. She is also a trustee of the Thornborough Heritage Trust and the Thornborough Trust
Caroline Dent lives in Hampshire and is an administrator within the local Mental Health Trust
Dr Brian Hazleman is a retired Consultant Rheumatologist and past President of the British Society for Rheumatology.
