About Wardens Trust
Wardens Trust was set up by Richard & Elspeth Gimson in 1991. Their vision was to offer recreational and outdoor facilities for children and adults with disabilities at this unique site.
Our Main Hall is situated on the cliffs between Thorpeness and Sizewell in a secluded site with access to the beach and a camping area. We have a large Hall with kitchen area, 12 bunk beds and fully equipped toilet, shower and washing facilities with wheelchair access. Our Avocet flat is fully wheelchair accessible with wet-room, shower and hoists and a great place for a peaceful break in a unique location.
We believe that offering recreational and outdoor facilities and arts-based creative activities for children and adults with disabilities will be liberating and life enhancing. Overlooking the North Sea, our cliff top site means the beach is instantly accessible, in addition to the 4.5 acres of woodland surrounding the Hall.
