A liberating life enhancing experience
Situated on the East Suffolk coast, beautifully located on a cliff top 100 yards from the sea, Wardens offers a unique experience, whether indoors or outdoors, there is always something on offer in the light and natural environment that Wardens provides.

We have a safe and extensive site with a large Hall, kitchen, and bunk beds inside, all wheelchair accessible, and a large clifftop camping area outside. We also have a specially designed holiday flat for people of all ages with disabilities. For many it is a liberating experience to come to our unique site.
The Avocet Holiday Flat
Our delightful one bedroom Avocet Flat sleeps up to 4 people (including a sofa bed) and has an open-plan sitting room and kitchen with wet-room facilities.
Camping at Wardens
Two camping sites for all you outdoor enthusiasts! These are called "Pony Paddock" and "Wardens Hall"
Our cliff-top camping facilities next to the Wardens Hall are a great place to come and relax & enjoy the sea air, used by family groups, clubs, community Hubs, school groups, Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme, Brownies, Cubs, and Scouts from East Anglia to inner London.

Fantastic Facilities
Wardens is situated on a clifftop site with large Hall, cooking facilities in a very large kitchen, and bunk bed accommodation. We have a separate holiday flat with disabled access and an outside camping area on the cliff. Come and enjoy the natural beauty and peace of this unique site.
A Spectacular Setting
We are situated on the cliffs between Thorpeness and Sizewell in a secluded site with direct access to the beach and 2 camping areas. Nearby there are walks over the heaths and along the beach on the Heritage coastline.
Our services for the community
We offer a range of services for local disabled groups from adventure camping for the young to a Meals-on-Wheels service and Bath Day for isolated elders in our community and a Singing The Brain Music days with Lunch Club for people living with dementia and their carers.
Events at Wardens
Music at Wardens plays an important part in our activities, with regular music days for the elderly, operas for children with special needs and an annual fund raising concert.

As well as coming to us for recreational activities, people can undertake arts based projects specifically designed to help disabled people, including those with dementia.
Each week we offer a Bath Day for local people with disabilities or anyone no longer able to bath safely at home. We provide carers to assist bathing in our specially designed bathrooms with hoists . Wardens can arrange transport too.
Flora and Fauna
Although the fauna around and about includes Red and Roe Deer, Badger, Fox, Squirrel, Muntjac, on shore, and Grey Seal, Porpoise and the occasional Dolphin, seawards, the flora are in many ways more unusual...
Wardens Countryside
Nowadays there is often much talk of returning our surroundings to “how they used to be”, and not without some sound reason.
In fact, man has been altering his landscape for more than 3000 years in this area...
Birds around Wardens
Ness House is situated just to the north of Thorpeness. Thorpeness itself is almost a miniature headland and as such is a recognised spot for observing migration in Suffolk with many scarce and rare species being found...
